Andy Parker stayed with us in July and submitted the following notes on fly fishing - thanks Andy:
I did hope to "Fly Fishing" while I was in Devon but the rivers were not fishable safely during my stay. However you should note you are exceptionally well placed with a lot of accessible fly fishing available close by on the angling 2000 scheme. I would recommend you add this to your website "Things to Do" section.

Using Traditional Lime Products - Courses at nearby Mike Wye & Associates
Since 1996 over 2,300 owners, builders and architects have come on our Practical Course to gain "hands-on" experience in using traditional lime and clay materials and techniques to repair and maintain old buildings. Our approach is to create a relaxed environment where you will enjoy learning, with ample opportunity for discussion in the breaks. Course numbers are limited to ensure individual attention by two course leaders.
For each session there is a practical demonstration, then participants are encouraged to have a go themselves, with guidance at hand. All tools and materials are provided but please bring protective clothing, safety glasses, wellington boots and waterproof gloves.
All tools are available for purchase at the end of the course and participants are also entitled to a 10% discount on future purchases from our range of traditional lime putty products.
