'Rent-A-Tent' Camping & Tariffs

What is Rent-A-Tent camping?

Our pre-erected tents Rent-A-Tent service was originally designed to provide an introduction to would be campers - first timers.

However, not only has it proved a hit with new campers, seasoned campers have taken quite a fancy to it aswell.

Rent-A-Tent camping means more time relaxing as everything is ready for you to simply walk into - no big packing and unpacking marathons, kettle on and feet up straight away!

With Rent-A-Tent camping the really big plus is the dining/socialising shelter provision, bags of undercover space, all the kit supplied and envious looks from BYO campers!  Whatever the weather is doing, and being the UK it will do it, you won't be worried by it at all.

(Rent-A-Tent pitches are currently being substantially upgraded for 2010 to Superpitch standard plus - any photos displayed show 2009 set ups, these will be replaced as soon as the first of the new pitch's  is ready - probably late March 2010 so watch this space.)

So what are you provided with on a Rent-A-Tent camping holiday?

  • Sleeping accommodation for up to six including air mattresses (and some hammocks if all goes to plan!), in 5 metre canvas Bell tents, canvas frame tents (Cabanon & Sunncamp), and on the original Superpitch, accommodation for up to eight in three poly ('normal') tents.
  • A large 5m x 3m dining/socialising shelter which contains a dining table and chairs, tea lights, pots, pans, cutlery and implements, glasses and mugs, gas cooker inc. gas, cool box with plentiful supplies of cool blocks, water container, kettle, washing up kit and a really neat toast making device. The dining/socialising shelter is fully boarded.
  • A fire pit of course, a fireside bench and occasional chairs

Which means not much for you to bring at all - your sleeping bag/duvet, food, clothes, torch and a toiletry kit is about it!
